Congratulations to Michele and Paul who got married at Holmfirth Vineyard which is situated in the hills above Holmfirth. Despite this being one of my most local wedding venues (I’m based in Holmfirth) it was my first wedding there – fingers crossed it won’t be long until I’m back again. Thanks to Sam and his team for making me feel so welcome!
My day started with the lads having one of the most luxurious shaves I’ve ever seen at the Men’s Room. What a great ritual for the lads to go through! A chilled out pampering session to start the day!
The ladies were making great progress by the time I arrived at the Vineyard B&B – the personal chef was just finishing cooking their amazing looking (and smelling) breakfast as Michele and the girls took their turns to get preened.
For those that don’t know it, the Vineyard is sited, as is typical for a vineyard, on rather a steep slope – the walk up and down between the B&B and the restaurant (with a hefty bag of gear) was great training for my other hobby – cycling up hills! Bonus!
As the guests arrived, Michele was transported to the venue in a classic American Lincoln. With the “I dos” out of the way, we escaped for a few photos at a local beauty spot I knew of, before returning the bride and groom to their guests to enjoy the day with their nearest and dearest.
The evening entertainment was provided by Vital Signs who kept the dance floor full all evening!
