Check out Laura and Chris’s wedding photography from Crow Hill wedding venue in Marsden by their official photographer!
Last weekend saw Laura and Chris get married at Christ Church, near Holmfirth, before heading over to Crow Hill for their wedding reception and I was delighted to be their wedding photographer.
As usual, the time between meeting Laura and Chris and their wedding arriving seemed to go by in a flash. It was a pleasure to return to familiar venues for me – my third wedding as a photographer at Christ Church and my second visit to Crow Hill. Many thanks to Rev. Sean for making me feel welcome in your Church again and helping me capture memories that will remind Laura and Chris about the most important part of their special day for many years to come.
My day started in a relaxed style capturing the fun and frolics at GCHQ Hair design in Brockholes. The red carpet had been rolled out with banners and drinks – not only were the ladies well looked after but also kept entertained by Gary (aka “not Gaz”) and his able team!
From GCHQ I headed over to catch up with the groom and his groomsmen getting ready in Meltham (after an eventful night before where the ceiling had collapsed due to a water leak, I was sworn to secrecy for the rest of the day!), we captured a few photos before I zipped off again to meet up with the our bride and bridesmaids in Holmfirth. As is often the case, the girls were taking it all in their stride. Neil and Claire (Laura’s parents) did an admiral job of coping with a house full! Not only with their daughters and friends but also a photographer (me!) and videographer in the form of Andy Dracup! Andy was booked to cover a wedding I did a few years ago – I got on with him well and his work was stunning so I had no hesitation in recommending him when Claire asked me if I knew any videographers.
Time flew and before we knew it, it was time to head to the Church for the wedding ceremony itself. Laura arrived in style, transported in a vintage style Beauford Convertible.
Christ Church has been a part of Laura’s life since an early age so it must have been extra special for her and Chris to be able to get married there. After the wedding ceremony, a sprint down the aisle and confetti, we headed off for a quick photography shoot by the canal before meeting the rest of their guests at Crow Hill and enjoying the rest of the day. We sneaked in a few group portraits and a couple of private wedding portrait sessions. It was great to catch up with Carl and Hayley who’s wedding I photographed a couple of years ago! I love it when I get to meet couples again as they pass on my name to other couples looking for a wedding photographer 🙂
