Last Saturday saw me putting on my wedding photographer hat for Ruth and Phil in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. You might recognise them form my recent pre-wedding blog!
Preparations were at Bay Tree Farm, a lovely, friendly little B&B in Alderfield, near Fountains Abbey followed by their wedding ceremony at St Michael & All Angels Church in the little village of Sawley.
Been so close to Fountains Abbey it seemed like too good an opportunity to miss so Ruth and Phil organised permission for us to do some wedding portraits in the grounds (talk about making a photographers day!) before heading up to their reception in a field overlooking the National Trust property. The weather held pretty much all day and a great time was had at their marquee and reception.
Checkout the “Beyond Slideshow” that I’m now including in the Silk package. Feel free to leave a comment below!
And so on to the reception! You can see how much time, effort and love went into making the marquee look so fantastic!
With dramatic skies, we did a few group shots before the wedding breakfast.
Now that’s what I call a first dance! Stylish yet relaxed! The band Harrogate based band was awesome – must get their name so I can recommend them! If you know who they are then feel free to add a comment at the end of this blog.
Sunset portraits. A few minutes spent setting up my lighting gear whilst the wedding party sits down to eat can pay off if the weather plays ball.
A big thanks to Ruth and Phil – a lovely couple and great fun to be with!
